Bio 2.2.1- Infer how human activities (including population growth, pollution, global warming, burning of fossil fuels, habitat destruction and introduction of nonnative species) may impact the environment.
Many human activities impact the environment for the worse including population growth, pollution, global warming, burning fossil fuels, habitat destruction, and introduction of nonnative species. We as humans need to change the way we are harming the environment so future generations can survive.
Population Growth: The human population keeps on growing and growing and has done so since the industrial revolution. This will impact the environment in several ways because we harm the environment in several ways. We cause pollution, global warming, and many other things. The population will keep on getting larger and larger until we reach maximum capacity when natural selection will kick in.
Pollution: We as humans have polluted the earth so much over time. We really started to pollute badly during the industrial revolution. Our pollution has really affected the earth in a bad way. We have polluted many water sources and those are very important because we can only have 1% of water available to drink. Pollution is also a major cause of global warming.
Burning Fossil Fuels: Burning fossil fuels is also impacting our environment. It results in the release of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere . This is another major reason for global warming.
Nonnative Species: Introducing nonnative species is very dangerous to the othe species in the environment because they could invade native species habitats and could cause them to die off.
