The environment can influence the the expression of genes in many ways. U.V. rays, radiation, chemicals, and many other things that are in the environment. These things can cause mutations in the cells by causing cancer. U.V. rays, chemicals, and radiation can all cause skin cancer. The environment also test the gene expression and the way it begins changing by natural selection. Last but not least would be your hormones, for instance can trigger the transcription and translation of specific DNA sequences, effectively expressing a trait.
