Bio 3.2- Understand how the environment, and/or the interaction of ALLELES, influences the expression of genetic traits.
To even begin to understand how the environment and/or the interaction of alleles influence the expression of genetic traits you need to know how genetic traits work. Punnett Square works great to show how genetic traits are passed on. You have a dominate and recessive traits, the dominate one always shows. You will get these traits from ancestors they can either be homozygous, pure aa AA, or heterozygous, different Aa. Now from gaining that knowledge you can begin to understand how the environment and interaction of alleles play a role. First environment, well there is two environments you need to consider both internal and external. Internal effects include gender which therefore limits sex-influences and sex-limited traits. Some external factors include drugs, chemicals, temperature, and light
can help determine what genes are turned on and off. Now for interaction of alleles, the interaction of alleles if just crossing two different alleles as show in the image above.

The video below will run through alleles and how they affect us!
